Sales of this filter, which is manufactured and provided by Technical Foam Services, are due to increase dramatically in the not too distant future, as they are specified by most UK train operators. This new contract for Filtration Control Ltd results in a further 30,000 filters per year for one customer alone.
Following five years of rigorous testing on Turbostar locomotives, the carbon impregnated filters meet Grade 4 efficiency, have up to six times the life of standard filters, and meet all flame and toxicity standards.
