(Edinburgh, 7/2/12) – Lettingweb revealed today that its operations in the West of Scotland continue to prosper, with flats to rent in Glasgow proving to be more popular than ever.
Figures published today by Lettingweb show that of its properties advertised in January of this year, the average time to let a flat to rent in Glasgow was 5.5 days, which is 96.80% quicker than January 2011’s 56.8 days.

These figures also represent a month on month improvement, as the same parameters for December 2011 returned an average of 15.5 days to let out a flat to rent in Glasgow, 64.52% longer than January 2012.
With demand for flats to rent in Glasgow continuing to increase, further good news for letting agents and landlords is that higher rents are being achieved. In January 2012 a two bedroom flat to rent in Glasgow averaged a rent achieved of £626.10, an increase of 6.17% from the previous month and 5.09% from the same period in time last year.
This trend is expected to continue as the year progresses.
