As part of the global community engagement series, Business4Better China (B4B China), a non-profit event organized by UBM will be held July 15th and 16th at Shanghai KIC Conference Center with the support of Social Giving Services Committee (SGSC). B4B China is the most important gathering of community partners to connect the growing mid-sized businesses and non-profits in China to explore high-impact community initiatives in social causes unlike ever before. The forum seeks to enhance the knowledge, competencies and contacts in ways that make a substantive impact on societal causes, as well as on their own business performance.
Highlights
a) B4B China targets primarily medium size enterprises that are keen to develop more active community engagement and involvement. While many large Fortune 1000 businesses have advanced CSR programs in China, it is the long tail of medium-size businesses that have the highest potential for impact because of the number of businesses, and their community proximity.
b) B4B China involves non-CSR-professionals who work in CSR. B4B is not only for Corporate Social Responsibility professionals, but also for business representatives who work in public relations, human resources, marketing or anywhere else and are — or want to be — more involved in Corporate Social Responsibility, philanthropy, corporate giving, sustainability or employee volunteering.
c) While B4B China is CSR, it is at the same time more inclusive and expansive. B4B is a partnership between the organizers, nonprofits and businesses. The Annual Summit is a non-profit community partnership project featuring not only community-building best practices but also speed networking program to foster the partnerships.
