London, United Kingdom (18th September, 2012) – Gadget Cover, a leading gadget and mobile phone insurance provider, is gearing up for a busy winter following the announcement of the new 4G mobile internet service.
Everything Everywhere, parent company of major network providers Orange and T-Mobile, have announced that they will be rolling out their 4G service towards the end of the year, ahead of rivals 02, Vodafone and 3. A number of smartphones will be compatible with the superfast service, including the Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE, the newly announced iPhone 5 and other phones from Nokia, HTC and China’s Huawai.
The service will initially be rolled out in Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Derby, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield and Southampton, which will see a combined total of 20 million people benefit from superfast mobile internet. The company then plans to extend the service to other towns, cities and more rural areas, covering 70 percent of the population next year and 98 percent by 2014.
The 4G service will allow smartphone users to download HD films within seconds and stream TV without the annoyance of buffering.
The launch of 4G will bring the UK closer to countries such as Germany and the US who have already had this service for some time. Chief Executive of EE, Olaf Swantee said it would make the UK “more modern”.
