Cambridge, England – Novus Biologicals, an international supplier of antibodies, biological products and materials to various scientific sectors, announce the opening of their new tissue culture lab in Littleton, Colorado.
The tissue culture lab will help Novus to further validate their antibodies when being used in practices such as Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Flow Cytometry. The tissue culture laboratory will also assist Novus in producing whole cell and nuclear extracts for validating antibodies in Western Blot. In addition, proteins can be extracted from cells that have been specially treated, as well as the production of standard lysates.
Through the tissue culture lab, antibodies will be tested with standard laboratory cell lines, including HeLa, Jurkat, NIH/3T3 and RAW 264.7. Also, stem cell markers will be able to be validated via the human embryonal carcinoma cell line, NTERA-2.
“The opening of the tissue culture facility in Colorado is great news for Novus, and will help us increase our validation capabilities to bring better products and more accurate information to the consumer market,” said a senior Novus scientist. “By being able to validate our products more effectively with added efficiency, our customers will really see the benefits when they use our reagents. By having well-validated products at their disposal, an enormous amount of time will be saved when our clients embark on their research.”
