One-Blue, LLC, today announced that DigiOn, Inc. of Fukuoka, Japan has joined the One-Blue Blu-ray Disc(TM) product licensing program as a licensee. DigiOn signed the License Agreement for BD Software which grants the company access to important patents essential to the Blu-ray Disc(TM) standard from leading licensors.
“DigiOn is a leading developer of home-network software that enables the sharing of digital content among multiple platforms such as digital TVs, recorders/players and PCs and is a welcomed addition to the One-Blue licensing program,” said Shigeru Komatsu, Senior Director of IP Licensing of One-Blue.
One-Blue administers the licensing program for patents essential to Blu-ray Disc(TM) products and is the joint licensing agent of its licensors. For hardware and software products, the product license covers Blu-ray Disc(TM), DVD and CD essential patents; for disc products, the product license covers Blu-ray Disc(TM) essential patents.
